With their roots in the punk and hardcore scene, this bunch of Norwegian/Swedish great minds decided to find their own unique sound and expression with the attitude of Cali punk and Scandinavian action rock, combined with the Swedish pop tradition where strong melodies and epic choruses are the key to a great song – no matter the genre. The result of this brilliant mix was Olso Ess.
Since the first album Uleste bøker og utgåtte sko was released in 2011 Oslo Ess has delivered the goods with TWO albums peaking as NUMBER ONE on the Norwegian album list (2012 and 2014), several sold out shows in Norway and TWO nominations as Best rock group at the Norwegian Grammy awards called Spellemannprisen (2011 and 2018). How about that? The best thing is that there is no slowing down when it comes to this band.
Republic 66 is very proud to present Oslo Ess as our latest client. A new “all killer, no filler” album is to be released on September 22nd through Indie Recordings, so keep an eye out for this gem. We will help the band promote this upcoming release on the Swedish market.
